Join us at the international seminar "From Barriers to Bridges: Strategies for Reconnecting the Danube River Basin" on September 26, 2024, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
This event, co-hosted by the World Fish Migration Foundation under the DANUBE4All project, includes a comprehensive program of activities with a international seminar and field trip. The event is free of charge, but seats are limited.Overview
The ecological situation of freshwater ecosystems in the Southeastern Europe region is shaped by a variety of factors. In the last centuries, river basins have been altered through damming and waterway modification, affecting natural river flow and sediment transport. There is an urgent need to put more effort in protecting and restoring habitats to conserve species diversity and prevent further loss and reduce the impact of climate change effects on people.
